About 10,000 carcases of mutton are to be shipped. ANOTHER BIG LINER. Another big liner, which is soon to J make her first acquaintance with ocean I voyaging in the Australian trade, is the I Nestor, of 14.250 tons, built for the Blue j Funnel line of Messrs Alfred Holt and { Co. Nothing has been more remark- ) able ,of recent years (says the Sydney i' Telegraph) than the number of fine new passenger and cargo liners built for the trade with the Commonwealth, and it is } claimed for the Nestor that she is the largest of them all. It is, however, j given to no vessel in these days to hold j that enviable position very long, and the | Nestor is apparently destined to be surj passed in point of size by the White I Star liner Ceramic, which is of no less j than 18,000 tons. No merchant vessel ] of anything like these dimensions has yet been seen in the Australian trade.
