The following weather summary and forecast was issued hy the Dominion : Meteorologist at 5 p.m.: Summary: ' The weather has heen very cold, and : gales are still reported on the east coast of. the South Island, but the storm has , decreased in intensity. Forecast: Pres- ' ent indications are for strong south- ■ easterly breezes, with cold and change- - able weather and showers, especially on the east coast, and a rising barometer ; everywhere.
