» SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. . Wellington,- Last Night. The following weather summary and forecast was issued by the Dominion Meteorologist at 5 p.m.:*— Summary: Strong westerly winds have prevailed, •with gales at times in the south. The weather is fair to cloudy on parts of the east coast, but rain and hail are reported on the west coast and in the uouth. Increasing cloudiness is reported in the north. Forecast: Present indications are for cold and story weather generally, increasing haze and cloudiness in the north, preceding heavy rain, with southerly winds, strong to a gale, and veering "to easterly. The barometer is falling in the north, but will have a rising tendency shortly in the south.
