ENTERTAINMENTS.
LAST N£GHT OF "OLIVER TWIST." To-night-is the last occasion that the magnificent dramatic masterpiece "Oliver Twist" will be shown in New Plymouth. This really wonderful film ha 9 been fully described in our previous issues, and we can but recommend all picture patrons, also all lovers of Charles Dickens's works who have not seen this picture, to make sure and view it tonight. To-morrow a new programme will include another big star, attraction, when the usual prices will prevaii. THEATRE ROYAL. Last night's change of programme was well in keeping with the standard previously set. Great interest centred round a sterling Edison production, "Ott Donovan's Division," which wag a dramatic masterpiece. The picture was a sensational railway story, projected with almost startling and while brimful of exciting incident, contained a charming love romance. The Vitagraph Company was to the fore with "Thft Toy-maker," a quaint story with a pathetic tenderness which quite found its way into the hearts of the audience. "The Wrecker" provided more drama, telling, as it did, of the romance of a fisher-folk on a wild coast. Scenery was well served with "Otta Valley," (containing some gorgeous glimpses) and "The -'Mayfly" (a beautifully colored film). On the comic side there was much to admire, and especially when "The Adventures of Dick and' Harry" were screened.
