Owing to the high wind and the lack of water it assumed huge proportions. A SALVAGE CLAIM. Received 11, 5.5 p.m. London, May 11. The Admiralty Court lias awarded the officers and crew of the Melpomene £250 for salving the Glasgow collier Alacracreef. The captain was specially rewarded for giving assistance and risking the Admiral's displeasure.
