He will attend the subsidiary conference on defence. A NEAT FRAUD. Berlin, May 8. Sclmfter, a lottery promoter was sentenced to two years for fraud. He acquired a fortune by whining the principal prizes himself. A SHOOTING CASE. Sydney, May 9. Hatton, who shot <a girl named Coghlan in a bar and then shot himself, has been acquitted on a charge of shooting with intent to do grevious bodily harm. He stated that the girl snatched the revolver from him, and it went off accidentally. The girl told the same story.
