NATIVES LEAVE FOR SALT LAKE CITY. By Telegraph—Press Association. . Dannevirke, Last night. Six prominent Maoris from Tahoraite left Dannevirke to-day for Auckland, en route to Salt Lake city. Although the departing natives expressed their intention of only making a flying' trip to the Mormori stronghold, some of theifriends an 1 doubtful if they will return to New Zealand. It W reported that each of the tourists has taken £SOO, and leased their lands for six mouths.
