THE SADDLERY DISPUTE. By Telegraph-Press Association. Wellington, Last night. . An agreement was reached on practically all the points in the' saddlery trade dispute at a sitting of the Conciliation Council. The weekly wage for the men was fixed at 565. with overtime as in the old awards, forty-cieht hours to constitute a week's work and six holidays as provided in the Factories Act will be allowed; pay for women workers remains practically unchanged. A preference clause will be included similar to that in other awards These recommendations will ;jo on to the Arbitration Court to be made in the award.
