STIRRING APPEAL TO PATRIOTISM,
By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Wednesday. Captain Halsey, in a speech to 6000 children in the Town Hall, reminded the young folks that they belonged to the Great British Empire, and their fathers and mothers presented Britain with the. battleship, and from what he had seen of them, lie .believed they were prepared to do more.. The children should be' prepared themselves to do likewise. The speech was a stirring appeal to patriotism and tit its close Captain .Halsey was loudly cheered.
