HOCKEY.
A meeting of Saturday players will be held on the racecourse this afternoon, at the conclusion of the practice match. Efforts are being made to put Saturday hockey on a lirm footing, and in this connection there is a probability of teams being raised in Tataraimaka, \Vaitara, Jsglewood, and Mew Plymouth. A* regards New Plymouth it is proposed to have two teams, East and West, in place of the Egin'ont and St. Mary's Clubs. The adjourned meeting of the Taranaki Association will be held 011 .Mon-: day Avcek. The Wanganui Association has decided to send the A .Senior representatives and the ladies representatives to lliuvera to play Taranaki 011 June 3. This date clashes with the tournament which is to be held 011 the Recreation (hound New Plymouth under the auspices of the Tiiranaki Lidies' Association, and will on this account probably be altered. The following is the Wliakatika hockey team for the friendly match against the High School in the Recreation Grounds this afternoon:—Forwards, E. .lohnston, L. Mouat, M. McEwen. E. Monteath, M. Stohr; halves, M. Arthur, 0. Blanchard, H. Rollo; backs, A. Cocker, E. Andrews; goal, M. Corkill. Emergency. F. Winlield. High School will be represented by: Forwards, G. Mouat, I. Whitaker, It. Whitton (captain), T. O'Brien. A. \Va vren; centre-lialf, Mona Corkill; halfbacks. 11. Roekell and C. Penn; fullback'!, M. Olcey and K. King; goal, Amy Harle.
