, The Rovers Club will indulge in a friendly game with the New Plymouth High School on the racecourse to-mor-row afternoon.
Mr. ,). East, lion. sec. of the Taranaki Football Association, has received the following letter from Mr. J. Henry Scott, hon.-seeretary of the H.M.S. New Zealand's Association football team: — "Captain Halsey has asked me to reply to your kind letter asking whether we could play the Taranaki Club at Association Football on our visit to New Plymouth. As there will be sports on at the same time, I fear that we shall not be able to raise a very strong team, but it wouW give us great pleasure to play the match. Will you therefore arrange the time and let us know all details on our arrival on June 17. Thanking you for your kind challenge." It is understood that a landing party from the battleship will number over 300, and it is to be hoped that comprehensive arrangements will be made for their entertainment. &
