Wet and wintry weather has been experienced generally., Forecast.—Present indications''are for high southerly winds. Heavy rain is probable, generally, with -the rivers rising, especially on the east- . ern coasts of both Islands. Very cold and stormy weather |is probable,generally and the barometer is now -due to -rise fast, and be probably very high 'everywhere.
