WOMEN'S DRESS.
A STRONG INDICTMENT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, April 29. The City Council adopted a by-law against unprotected hat-pins. The discussion was productive of strong comments on women's present mode of dressing. One councillor declared that it was conducive to pneumonia and immorality. The good old petticoat had flown, and in two or three years they would have girls walking the streets m tights.
