FIRE AT DEVONPORT.

Per Press Association,

Auckland, Monday. ■' A six-roomed house on the Gore road, •Devojiport, owned by J. W. Carson, and occupied by R. M. Rae, was destroyed by ■fire early this morning. The building was insured for £4OO in the London and Lancashire office, and the furniture for £l5O in the New Zealand office. A FLAXMILL BURXED. Invercargill, Last Night. A fiaxmill at Mokorcta, owned by Mr. Adam Hall, was destroyed bv fire early on Sunday morning. The origin is unknown. It is estimated that the loss is £4OO, which includes a quantity of fibre.
