The demand is quieter; 38s 10»/gd to 38s is asked for Australian January shipments. Australian spot is .offering more freely at 40s Cd and 41s. New Zealand Longberry is quoted at 40s. Three Australian cargoes have been sold at 38s to 38s 9d. Official quotations: Prompt delivery, 38s 3d; on passage, 38s 7y g d. Oats are firm and in good demand. Medium quality, New Zealand are quoted at 26s to 325. ' Beans are firm. New Zealand, 41s. Peas are firm. Good quality are scarce. Ne v Zealand 37s to 40s ex'store. Butter is dull. Danish 112s to 121s. Excellent Siberian butter is arriving and selling freely at 104s to 100s. Choicest Australian is very scarce at 108s to 110s; unsalted, 112s. There is no demand for secondary or inferior qualities. Now Zealand choicest, 112s to 114s. Cheese is dull. New Zealand 48s.
