IN IKE BACKBLOCKS. SURPLUS OF £7(W,000 ANNOUNCED. Per Press Association. Te Kuiti, Lust Night. -Mr. Massey continued his King Country tour today, driving from Olmra to Tc Kuiti, via Aria and Piopio. He met with an enthusiastic reception at Aria and Piooio. The Prime Minister delivered an address at the latter place. He announced that the surplus for the year was seven hundred and nine thousand pounds. The party arrived at Te Kuiti shortly after eight o'clock. He was received by the Mayor and Borough Councillors. He proceeds to Tangita tomorrow and Tailmaruiiui to morrow night.
