Church Council have agreed to comply with China's request for prayers for the success of the new Parliament. A DAY OF PRAYER. London, April 23. The ."Society for the Propagation of the Gospel and the Church Missionary Society have drawn up forms of prayer on behalf of China, to be read in all churches on Sunday. They exclude, direct references to the spread of Christianity. The Chinese Government has spontaneously set apart April for prayers in all Christian churches in China for the good of the Republic and for domestic peace. The authorities have been ordered to attend the services.
