Petitions representing a hundred thousand women will he presented in the House of Commons to-morrow, requesting permission for women to appear at the bar of the House and plead for enfranchisement. A distraint warrant has been levied on the Duchess of Bedford for refusing payment of taxes for a period of eight months as a protest against non-en-franchisement.
