THE LEG-BEFORE RULE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.. Received 16, 11.15 p.m. London, April 16. R. E. Foster approves of the alteration of the leg-before rule if it only applies to off-side bowling, but says that the present rule should be retained to discourage leg break bowling. He also suggests a smaller ball of the same weight, which would enable the bowler to impart a larger brealf on hard wickets.
