During the Budget debate General Ilert/.og bitterly assailed General Botha air.! described him as an autocrat and as being guilty of moral cowardice. He added that the Opposition was leagued in a conspiracy with General Botha, who no longer represented his own people. He concluded by demanding a dissolution.
General Botha replied, calmly inviting General llertzog to propose a vote of no-confidence.
