Mr. R. J. Scoltock, a well-known resident of the West Coast, died in the_* Westport Hospital a few davs ago, aged-"-77. He was a native of London, ai}4 T had been over 50 years in New Zea-i land. On the voyage out his vessel was shipwrecked at Amsterdam Island, in the Indian Ocean. A noted pastoralist and philanthropist passed away last week in the person of Mr. Albert Augustus Dangar, of Baroona, Whittington, New South Wales.
