II". left the Automobile Club at 11 o'clock on Thursday night, .saying lie had an appointment with a lady, and was seen hailing a. taxi-cab in St. James' street. A workman found his empty pocket-book next morning in Belvedere road, a poorclass neighborhood. A reward of £11(10 lias been offered for his discovery. MURDERED OR 111 151X0? SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. Received 15, 10.25 p.m. Loiidon, April 15. A small gold chain was discovered inside Martin's opera hat. The finder states tliat the hat appeared to have been carefully placed on the road, and was undamaged and little soiled. An insurance policy for £BOOO has been discovered. The police are considering the possibility of Martin being in hiding.
