FOOTBALL AND FUNERALS. I!y Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received IS,' 10.25 p.m. London, April 15. Mr. Hill, secretary of the Boilermakers' Union, reports on the society's efforts to obtain an advance of wages, that the. employers' rejdy complained that members attending football matches and funerals resulted in a loss of 18.8 per eent. in wages. Many were avera g- j ing £3OO annually. The employers added that every advance had been abused by ill-conduct and bad time-keeping.
