THE BANNER COMPETITION. On Saturday Pihama and Hawera met at Manila to play off a tie in the Banner competition, and the former won by 23 to 15. Patea and Pihama will probably play off at Ilawera on Wednesday, and the winner will have to meet i' Plymouth, the winner at the northera end. ■
