j FIREMAN'S SUDDEN DEATH. ' By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Monday. A fireman nsitned J. Collier was found dead in his bunk on the steamer Norfolk on Sunday. He had been playing a tin whistle on deck au hour previously. A BLASTING ACCIDENT. Wellington, Last Niglit. A bad blasting nccident occurred at Waikaia yesterday, as the result of' which three men", Robert Craig, John Wilks and David Gillespie were badly injured by burns. They were working overtime in a smithy attached to the | coal pit, when a spark ignited a case of powder. Crnig and Gillespie are in a bud way, and have been sent to the hospital. MOTOR FATALITY. Duncdin, Last Night. The Superintendent of Police has received advice from Duntroon that John William Miles died yesterday at Otekaike, as a result pf a motor colliding with his trap on April 0.
