SENT TO ROTOROA* By Telegraph—Press Association. Dannevirke, Last Xight. Application was made by the police to the Magistrate to-day to have a solicitor named Cecil Glass Downes, who appeared on a charge of drunkenness, committed to Rotoroa. He had been there previously for a term. Counsel for accused asked for a chance so that his client could be sent to Australia'for'a fH® start. The Magistrate said that lie llid not think he should offer facijitiesgfor the export of the Dominion's degenerates to another colony. To send him, to Australia was only to invite a continuance of his present conduct, and wouli be criminal until the drink was out ot him. Accused was committed to Rotoroa for 12 months. " ' - •*
