A WANDERING AIRSHIP.
CAPTURED BY FRENCH OFFICTALS. GERMAN NEWSPAPERS ANGRY. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. London, April fi. The Observer states that a party of British military and civil experts hastened to Luneville to inspect the Zeppelin. Berlin, April 6. The Government thanked France for her courtesy towards the crew of the Zeppelin. Paris, April (i. The Customs duty on tiie airship ( £300) has been refunded. Paris, April 5. The Zeppelin re-started in charge of civilian mechanics. The whole of the officers were escorted to the frontier in a motor-car, Berlin, April 5. The press is greatly chagrined at the episode. The Rundschau declares that Franco might as well keep the vessel as a model. The Berliner Tageblatt says the most disagreeable revelation is that the fairweather qualities of the dirigibles are no longer in doubt. The wind drove the Zeppelin across the frontier against the pilot's will. The newspapers publish conflicting stories, ranginp from a mere police visit to an exhaustive expert investigation of the airship. The Loka! Anzeiger alleges that the airship was fired on at an altitude of a thousand yards, and that only the resoluteness of the French troops prevented the mob wrecking it. The Taglische Rundschau regrets that the officers failed to blow up tlie airshin before landing. Some papers demand a court-martial.
