BOXING.
The light heavyweight boxing eontest between Dave Smith and I>s O'Donnell in Sydney attracted 13,000 people. Smith won. The latter, a New Zealander. has a good business head, and keeps well within his head. That is the way to make money, as Jim Griffin probably knows bv this time. Smith is worth about £3OOO. and Griffin saved little from his winnings. There was, however, not such a boom on in bis days as in Smith's. Were the two at their best to-day who would win?
