GRADING OF HEMP.
PROTEST BY MILLERS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Foxton, Thursday. Representatives of millers whose hemp is graded at Foxton, met to-day to protest against the standard of grading hem]) recently adopted. The millers claim that the fibre should be graded several points higher than that a warded t there being no justification for any alteration. The millers are at a loss to understand the reason for the standard' being raised, which means a considerable loss to them. Tt was decided to make representations to the Department in the matter.
