By Telegraph—Press Association. REEFTON, Tuesday. The new Big River fortnight's crushing produced 344 ozs. 2 dwts. from 240 tons of stone. 400 tons of sand cyanided yielded 78 ozs. 10 dwt. of bullion. The total value is estimated at £1595. They are repairing the shaft and putting in new boilers, engine and winding gear. The "Inangahua Times" reports that the sample stone all through from the face of the reef in the Pride of Reefton went 3 ozs. 7 dwts. 17 grs. at the Dunedin School of Mines. Active operations will soon be entered into on Merrygig's field, where an engine has been fitted to start unwatering the old Gallant shaft.
