BIG JEWELLERY ROBBERY.
£OO,OOO WORTH OF LOOT. By Cable—l'vess Association—Copyright. London, April 1. Hans Porter, an American tailor, and Ferdinand Steiner, a jeweller, who were arrested in a restaurant in Oxford street, have been remanded on a charge of stealing £50,000 worth of jewellery belonging to M. Dernier, ex-Mexican Minister to France, at Xeuilly, in April, 1912. A detective alleged that Porter stole the jewellery from the original thieves. A large quantity of jewellery was found in Porter's house.
