HON. ME. FISHER'S STATEMENT. "COMPLETE IGNORANCE." By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 2, 9.40 p.m. Melbourne, April 2. Interviewed regarding defence, the Hon. F. M. B. Fisher said lie was a strong advocate of joint action by Australia and New Zealand. He pointed out, however, that his Government was in complete ignorance of the Imperial position, a's it had not yet received Mr. Allen's reports. "We are unable/' he said, "to outline our policy until Mr. Allen's return; but our party has always been strong on this question.''
