The Globe says that Australia has always recognised the authority of the Marylcbone Cricket Club, but it would be a graceful act if the Marylebone Club informally ascertained how the alteration of the leg-before rule would be likely to effect Australian cricket, rt would be unpleasant to find Australians compelled to ignore the decision. The postponed fixture, High School v. Old Loys, will in all probability come off next Saturday afternoon. Efforts are being made to arrange a match between the North Taranaki representative team and an eleven representative of the rest of the pla>">rs.
