EIGHT-ROOMED HOUSE BURNT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dannevirke, Monday, i An eight-roomed house at Umutaovoa, the property, 'of- the Iliiwke's Bay Education Hoard, and occupied by Peter Anderson! was destroyed by fire on SaV urday. The fire is alleged to have spread from the burning bush in the neighbor- 1 hood. The contents were insured 'for £2OO in the Royal office. The building was insured for £4OO, in what office is unknown at present. • ' i.. j_ CORDIAL FACTORY DESTROYED. Mastcrton, Sunday. A fire occurred here at an early hoar on Saturday morning, by which a cordial factory, owned by Mr. C. W. Brodie, and occupied by Mr. A. Gunn, was completely destroyed. The origin of the fire is a mystery. A heavy gale was blowing at the time, and the (lames spread to Mr, Watson's grain store, but the Jlre brigade succeeded in getting the outbreak under control. Mr. Bvodie's lmildn« is said to have been insured for £200',. and the contents for £3OO.
