METHODIST UNION.
Celebrations of the Union of the Methodist and Primitive Methodist Churches will be held throughout the Dominion next Sunday. The New Plymouth celebrations will be presided over by the liev. S. Lawry. All other churches throughout the New Plymouth circuit will be closed, and the united congregations will meet in the Whitelev Memorial Church at 11 a.m. Sister Florence will be then ordained by the president as circuit deaconess and. after a brief address, there will bp united communion service. In the afternoon there is to be a gathering of the children of the twelve Methodist Sumlav schools in the circuit in the Theatre Royal. The evening service will also be held in the Theatre Royal. A united choir will lead •the singing of favorite hymns and the President of the Conference will be the preacher. On the following Monday, at 0 o'clock, there will be a united tea meeting in the Theatre. All parts of the circuit will be represented by the tables provided, and at 7.4.) there will be a public meeting presided over bv his Worship the Mayor.
