BLOWN OUT TO SEA.
STEAMER JOHN MISSING. '

Wellington, Last Night. The steamer John, which left Lytielton at 1.30 p.m. on Thursday for Wellington, has not yet been heard of. She had only sufficient coal for two days, and is believed to 'have been blown out to sea, by the heavy north-west gale. The John carried 330 tons of produce for Wellington and Wanganui, and if not soon heard of it is feared she will need assistance.
