Advantage will be taken of the occasion to make a presentation to Mrs. Glasgow. The departure of this highly-esteemed family is generally regretted by the many friends they have made during their six years' residence here. In a quiet, unassuming way they have done much good in the community and taken their full share in the discharge of social obligations. It is no platitude to say they will leave a place very difficult to fill,'and that the town will be the poorer by their leaving. Their friends here, however, will console themselves with the reflection that the transfer of Mr. Glasgow means to him a substantial advancement in his profession. Last night the family were entertained at a dance in the Brougham St, Hal!. Mr. and Mrs. Percv Wchsv.-r. who have been on a visit to Wanganui, have returned. Mr. It.
