ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
MAN, BURNED TO DEATH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. A man named Peter Jacoben was burned to death in a cottage at Feathcrston this afternoon. No details are to hand. A DETERMINED SUICIDE. Gisborne, Last Night. A man known as Scottv attempted to commit suicide by cutting his throat at Peikarae last night. As he was being brought into town by a waggon today he jumped over the Tapuae Bridge into the sea, and was drowned. His attendant made a brave effort to save him.
