(From Our Own Correspondent). At the S.M. Court on Thursday judgment was given plaintiff in the ease J. S. S. Medley. D.0.A., v. W. J. Heal, claim £2l us 7d, costs £3 Gs. Henry Sommers and Harry Swanson, for failing to attend parades, were convicted. The animal meeting of the local Hockey Club was held on Wednesday, Mr. W. H, Stephens occupying the chair. The report showed that tllere was a credit balance of £7. It mentioned the club had again won the championship, 38 goals Piaving been 'scored and # goals against. The club was w : ell represented in the Taranaki representative team, no less than eight members finding places. Offieers were elected as follows:—Patron, W. E. Perelval (re-elect-ed); president. Geo. Sutherland; vicepresidents, Messrs. T. E. Hamerton, H. A. Stratford, Geo. Gudgeon, J. Goller.. A. Paterson, H. B. Curtis, D. CI egg; auditor, A. Ledlie (re-elected); secretary and treasurer. E. J. Harris; delegate to Association, E. J. Harris; management committee. C. Reed. R. Spurdle, .1. Allen, H. Peteh, W. H. Stephens, M. W. Priest. Geo. Ward; selection committee, C. Reed, J. Harris and W. H. Stephens; practice captain, J. Harris. A very hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr. A. Leslie for his donation of caps to the team in honor of their victorious season. Mr. W. E, Percival's trophy and Mr. Geo. Gudgeon's stick were left over to be decided at the <l;-~t practice which was fixed for April 17th. Thursday, .April 3rd, was fned as the day on which a working bre will attend to put the (jronnd in ordrr. On" the opening dav, April 17th. it, was decided to play (lie ladies' team—the men to play in skirts—and a dance will be held in the evening.
