SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Summary— Heavy rain has Vlen on the higher level*'in the south rnd in part 9 of the South Mind. H'gh northerly and westerly winds "uve rievsiled And the barometer is my low in the south.. Forecast—Present indications are for high northerly and westerly -winds veering to southerly. Rain is probable generally, with rivers flooded in many parts of the >outh Island and _ some snow on the higher levels. The "barometer will probably fall lower in the north, but commence to rise in the touth to-morrow, with colder weather following.
