The Northern Union has accepted the invitation of the New South Wales League to tour Australia. The team leaves early in June.

ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of the Star Football Club was held in the Town Hall 1 last night, Mr. J. Clarke presiding over' a good attendance. j The report, as already published, was i adopted. The balance-sheet, which was also adopted, showed that receipts amounted i to £42 2s. The principal items were j honorary and active members' subscrip- > tion £ls 8s (id, gates £7 lGs, refund insurance £3 4s (id. Expenditure had; amounted to £42 Os 2d, including pay- i ment of old accounts £0 3s 3d, fares £4 13s 4d, insurances £!), Recreation Sports ( Ground £2. Assets amount to £3O 14s ■ ißd and liabilities nil. The following new' members were !elected:—J. Skipper, J. A. Carls-en, R. 'Dean, T. Hodgson, J. Box, G. Bertrand,. IK. Corbett. L. Berrv, Newman. R. Tan'her, 11. Richards, T. Carroll, B. Green, I Tito, G. Willis, W. Connolly, L. HardLgreaves, G. Fuller and J. Simon. Officers were elected as follows:—. President, Mr. E. Dockrill (re-elected);' Vice-Presidents, J. Arthur, F. Richards, W. J. Williams, H .Stocker, D. Penwarden, W. Little, J. McKean, F. T. Bellringer, J. Avery, W. Emeny, Mrs. Paulsen, A. Bishop, A. L. Humphries, McKean, S. Smith, C. Arden, Drs. Leatham, Wyllie and Home; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr. W. H. Preece (re-elect-ed); Club Captain, Mr. J. Clarke; Management Committee. G. Bertrand, A. Page, W. Crockett, A. Richards, J. Skipper, G. Hawkins and H. McGahey; Auditor, Mr. Jas. Garcia; Delegates, Messrs. G. Bertrand (senior) and C, E. Sadler (jupjoj). The appointment of Selection tcjnmittees was left to the Management 'Committee. The opening.<lay was fixed for Saturday, April sth, when a match will be played by teams chosen by 'G. Bertrand and Bellringer. v A match will also be played if possil'Je on Saturday, April lCfch, against Rovers. The secretary was voted a bonus of £3 3s as a slight appreciation of his j services.
The manager of the juniors last year thanked the juniors for the creditable way in which they had stuck to their guns in the face of defeat after defeat. Votes of thanks were accorded the Press, the retiring officials, and the Referees* Association.
