STATEMENT BY THE PRIME .MINISTER.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Xight, Cabinet met this evening and transacted a quantity of formal business.
The Prime Minister stated to-day that Parliament w.'s unlikely to meet earlier than usual. The Government had much important work to do before Parliament met. and the Hon. James Allen would not return till early in June. Mr. Massev thought the House would meet for business between June 20 and 30.
Referring to-day to statements that reaggregation of land was proceeding near Mangaweka. Mr. Massey said the Crown Lands Ranger was now in the district enquiring into the matter, and he expected a report in a day or two. "One thing is clear." remarked the Prime Minister, "and that is, if there has been any aggregation it took place before our time."
