From Oakland, California, conies a short Story of swift retribution. Hyman Goldberg,'a travelling salesman, from Portland. Oregon, shot and instantly killed his wife, and a few minutes later met his own death at the hands of his 21-vear-old son.

(ioldberg arrived in Oakland on an early train yesterday in search of his wife, from whom he had been separated for more than a vear. He located her and his son in a flat in 12th street, and walked into her room. "Hello, Rose, dear," was his greeting, and immediately he opened fire with a revolver. His wife fell mortally wounded, with two bullets in her throat.
