It is officially stated that a desperate infantry battle has occurred at Chataldja. The Turks, engaging the Bulgarians whole line, advanced live kilometres to the north of Derkos and occupied many strategical points. THE SIEGE OF CHATALDJA. ROUT OF THE TURKS. Received 21. 5.5 p.m. Sofia, March 20. Five divisions of Turks at Chataldja, with artillery and cavalry, attempted an advance, supported by the warships. They were routed with heavy loss. Received 22. 1.5 a.m. Sofia. March 21. The attack on the Bulgarian centre at Chataldja was repulsed. Five hundred Turks were killed and wounded. NUNS AND NURSES KILLED. SERVIAN MOVEMENTS. London, March 20. The Reichspost reports that eight Italian nuns, acting as nurses, were killed and several wounded in the Scutari bombardment. Salonika, March 20.
