The American Tenuis Association has cabled asking that the preliminary round of the Davis Cup be played in America, instead of in England, and stating that it is impracticable to play in England on June 21st, the time fixed for the completion of the match. They suggest i that if Australasia is unable to agree to play in America the match should be | played on June 23rd, after the AU-Eng- : land championship.
