Galvanised iron, £lO 15s per ton first brands, £l4 15s second. Fencing wire, £S Is per ton; angle steel, £7 2s Od ;tram rails, £5 ids. At the wool sales there verc catalogued 125,300 bales and sold 114,310 bales. There was more competition for erossbreds at late rates. Merinos were firm and unchanged. The following were the prices realised for the fleece portions of the clips named:—White Rock, top price ll'/ad, average 10% d; Tunanui, 13y,d and"ll%d; Kaiangaroa. 13d and ll%d; Marehbum, 15d and 14% d.
Wheat. —Dull; occasionally easier. Thirty-eight shillings is asked for New South Wales, Victorian and South Australian January, 37s 3d for South Australian April-May, and 37s Gd for Victorian February.
The wheat and Hour a Moat for the United Kingdom is 3.770,000 quarters, for the Continent 3.345,000 quarters; Atlantic shipments 243,0011 quarters. Pacific 20,000 quarters: total for Europe 1.1140.000 quarters, Australasia 177.000 ouarfers.
