MOTOR ACCIDENT.
LOCAL RESIDENT SERIOUSLY INJURED. A motor lurulunt, attended liy ser'.ous consequences. happened at Fitzrov ywterday afternoon. A party of four (Afes.SK. Xorman Bewley. Arthur Clill', lloiiald Paul and McDavitt, of Opiriiake) set out in a moiorvar forWaitara. When passing Mr. .J. Tim chafTeur lost control of the machine, and applied the brakes, but it s]iot ahead fur about a couple of chains, and. leavir,"' the fairway. ended its wild career by colliding with a telegraph pole. Air. Bowley is suffering -ev-'vclv from shock, and his condition i* critical.
