Underwriters' losses on the Turakina are now estimated at £300,000. The I water has reached the wool. EXTENT OF THE FIRE. PASSENGER ARRANGEM IiNTS. By Telegraph.— Per Press Association. Christehurch, Last Night. The New Zealand -Shipping Company lias received the following cable:— "The Turakina f:re extended to hold. No. 2, and probably will reach No. 1. Water is now in all the holds, but the discharge of Nos. 1, 4 and 5 is proceeding. Have arranged for (irst and secondclass passengers to leave by the Vaubat, leaving Rio de Janiero on March 17, and expect to arrange for the third-class to-iii orrow.
