Pereival wrote that tlw Tarata Dairy Company proposed making some alterations to their water-race am dam, which would necessitate timnellhig under the road some 12 or 15 chains. They were getting a report front Mr. Robinson on the matter. The Council is prepared to consider the matter whew the report is obtained. The chairnian is to make enquiries into the position of the reserve' at Tarata, which H. Ludemaix- applied to he allowed to use on condition that he fenced it and kept down Wve weeds.
