The Amalgamated Railwayman's executive has notified the Midland Railway Company tliat they insist upon Richardson's reinstatement, with the understanding that any alteration in instructions in future must be given in writing. THE WHEAT HANDLERS' STRIKE. Sydney, March 6. The wheat handlers' strike has been settled, and they will resume work today. The threatened trouble with the ferry employees has been averted. In both cases the men have accepted Mr. Carmichael's undertaking that a wages board shall deal with their claims at the earliest moment. RICHARDSON'S CASE. Received 7. 1 a.m. Loidon, March 0. The Times states that the Midland Company directors mismanaged Richardson's case, which should be re-tried. THE BAKERS' STRIKE. Received C, 11.10 p.m. London. March fi. The employers have rejected the bakers' demands.
